Damnit!
Well, I got a new hard drive but I'm having problems recovering everything I need. Ontop of that, the downloads are down and it looks like I'm going to have to switch hosts again! So I'll be working on getting everything fixed.

Son Of A....
Burton's hard drive crashed
Definately keeping busy this month. We got a new blogger, welcome 'mc' to the scene. Hes a cocky arrogant 19 year old with nothing but beer in him. You can check out his first blog underneath this little post. Anyway, what I came to tell you is that my hard drive crashed on me two days ago and I have yet to replace it. I just built that computer too. Come to think of it, I wonder if it simply overheated? I'm definately putting a fan on the next one. Anyway, I'm not sure of the damage yet and next week I plan to fix it, but I'm relying on a new laptop I just got from my school so I don't have much on it in terms of content.

Hopefully I can recover most of my files on the hard drive; the only problem is that I don't have all my bookmarks and account information needed to maintain the site completely. I could search around for it, but I'm too lazy to do that so you'll just have to wait for pellas and interviews. Oh yea, I forgot to mention the radio will be down seeing as I broadcast to the radio's server. Shitty buzz eh. Anyway, thats the bunk news of the day. Peace.

Money Where Ya Mouth Is...

(Ma! I dont want a fuckin job!) Blacklabelled.com! What you sayin? Apparently I, "...Spend too much time on that fucking YouTube crap!" I keep telling her, I say, "Yo, I'm a blogger bitch! This is what I do, it's in my DNA" Plus, if I wasn't so dedicated to keeping the world in touch with everything thats hip-hop, I wouldn't of stumbled upon the Madden '09 match-up of the year. Thats right, "Young Floyd Mayweather A.K.A Bow Wow issued a $100k bet claiming that he could "bust" the "King of the West Coast A.K.A The Game's ass at a game of Madden 09. The Game replied posting a video on his YouTube channel from his tour bus accepting the challenge, but offered to up the ante stating, "Let's go $100K, and then you call Ciara tell her to suck everybody on this motherfucking bus, dick...". Today Bow joined in on the smash talking posting a second video saying, "You can have that, that's old... me and my crew want Mya...". He later went on to say he might even put up another $200k claiming Game wont score a point on his "D". This shit is heatin up quickly. Hip-Hop Superbowl I : Cowboys vs. Patriots. Keep it locked!

Oasis vs Jay-Z?
Jay-Z and Oasis feuding?Who cares? Apparently no one. Searches on the web relating to Jay-Z focus on him and Beyonce, his club, and lyrics. So whats the point? I'm starting to think that now-a-days beef in the media isn't getting as much attention as it used to. Maybe it's just me, maybe America's too focused on bigger names such as Obama and, wait, who's the other guy? John someone? Exactly. So, Jay-Z, The Game, Soulja Boy, Nas... when they hit the media, I mean, if they hit the media, wait wait; I mean if they were to hit the media no one would really care so why bother.

Well, here's the story and after you read it decide if you care about Jay-Z vs Oasis, or A Black President vs John Curly Fries, or America vs Iraq, or having enough money to buy christmas gifts this year due to the fact that your broke because of the cost of living and fuel is so ridicously high. All of a sudden, Jay-Z's little news story seems so irrelevant. I unno, maybe it's just me.

Earlier this summer, a reporter asked Noel Gallagher, of the British rock band Oasis, what he thought about hip-hop artists being invited to perform at Glastonbury, the famous music fest.

Noel said hip-hop was "wrong" for Glastonbury. Jay-Z got teed off.

Then in a tit-for-tat move, when Jay-Z took the stage at Glastonbury, he sang a mocking, off-key cover of Oasis' biggest hit. (Video of the performance later became a huge Web hit.)

But the two singers made some play-nice moves. Gallagher said: "I like Jay-Z." Jay-Z said he wouldn't mind working with Oasis. OK, everything's fine.

Or is it? Cut to last week. Jay-Z took the stage with Kanye West at Madison Square Garden and performed "Jockin' Jay-Z," a track from his upcoming album. In the song, Jay-Z takes more swipes at Gallagher, such as: "That bloke from Oasis said I couldn't play guitar / Somebody shoulda told him I'm a f****** rock star."

Oh snap. Who cares. This sounds like more speculation and bullshit for the media. Or, for that matter, by the media. There's my two, I'd ask you to comment but I have yet to fix the comment system.

Where The Game At?
BlackLabelled's acapellas are back up for free downloadAight, I checked out some allhiphop dot com to check out some illseed rumors. What do I find? The usual speculation and shit, but this time its interesting. Jay-Z and The Game beefing? Pfft, yea right. Number one, hova out his league; number two, the Game been out the game. So what's going on? We'll they speculating that he said this and they said this and his Superman track... wait, his what? Superman track aka Soulja Boy diss? Who isn't dissing Soulja Toy now-a-days? Can't we just let that little faggit die out on his own like Ja Rule? Anyway, allhiphop/illseeed speculating the Game getting at Hova cause on Kingdom Come he was talking about saving hiphop like Superman.

Oh yea, and rumor has it hova slipped, "We ain't even fuckin with him... we gonna let him commit suicide." (Refering to the game spitting that suicide image shit.) True? False? What you think?

BlackLabelled sells out...
Nah, but we have switched up our advertising methods as an experiment this month. More importantly, the downloads will be down for a few days as we "upgrade" hosting once again. We are originally hosted by HostGator and switched our downloads over to a private web host in Europe. They seem to be unreliable so I am moving to a more reliable host. Hopefully this will be the last move until we get our own dedicated server in the distant future. Anyway, that's the news for today.

Downloads Back Up!
BlackLabelled's acapellas are back up for free download But for how long? Just screwing with you. Sadly, the instrumental and remix section's never made it. They fell harder than C-Murder's record sales. I do need your help; the database information had to under-go some surgery in order for the downloads to work on a new host. This means I am not sure if all the files work properly. If you come across any missing links, or mp3's that are not acapellas, please contact me so I can change it :D. Thanks.

And on to some promotion, I would like to mention the forums. A community of DJs, producers and emcees all giving each other feedback on their music. We got chat, battles, contests, downloads, and more. Definitely should check it out a.s.a.p and see what your missing. Make sure to check out the radio, and if you would like to add free radio to your site, the code for Myspace users and web master's is in the forums!

One more note regarding the site; we are looking for staff right now. Check out the forums for more details.

Detox; is this time for real?
Dr. Dre holding down Detox 2008? Hmm, he's gotten our hopes up so many times only to crush them. I'd say this is the most anticipated album in hip-hop and were putting alot of pressure on that guy, so I really don't mind if he takes his time to insure it's good.

“I’m just now, over the last couple months, starting to feel that it’s going to be right and it’s something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it,” Dr. Dre explained to USA Today. “In a perfect world, I’m shooting for a November or December release."

So, I assume we can expect this next March? How many unit's will this move? Wait, wait... is it even going to come out? Just a few questions for you to ponder, I know that's what I'm thinking about. And hopefully we start getting our hands on singles and ep's because with this news im getting anxious. If his tracks are anything like some of the promo's he's had released recently, you can expect an album you'll still be banging for the next ten years.

Onto another note, they say hiphop's dying. Who is 'they'? Enjoy those two Lincolns of the day.
